CoRe’s nuanced approach of working with communities at the nexus of ecological, social, and economic development, and the small, agile team of changemakers, presents a unique learning opportunity to understand cross-cutting approaches that mitigate challenges for planetary wellbeing.

Manushi leads the monitoring, evaluation, and learning component for CoRe's global engagements. She is from Uttarakhand - one of India's most eco-sensitive Himalayan zones, characterized by inequitable health outcomes and weak governance structures for natural resources. This motivated her to pursue research that addresses gaps at the intersection of public health and environmental governance. Through her assignments with the Thai Ministry of Public Health, The George Institute for Global Health, and The Public Health Foundation of India, Manushi developed a deep insight into the context and complexities of addressing health system gaps in countries of the global South. She has eight years of programmatic experience in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating public health research projects in India, Thailand, Indonesia, Bhutan, Timor Leste, Kenya, Zambia, South Africa, Mexico, and Peru. She has experience and a keen interest in mixed-methods evaluation, participatory approaches in social research and evidence-based public policy. She has published in peer-reviewed journals including The Lancet, the British Medical Journal, Value in Health, and the World Health Organization’s Southeast Asia Journal of Public Health. Manushi was selected in 2022 as a fellow of Atlas Corps, the network of global changemakers.
