The need for initiatives with a structured approach to strengthen environmental governance and build resilient rural livelihoods inspired me to choose CoRe. An approach that augments the capacities of civil society partners, reinforces a network of system change entrepreneurs and creates avenues for local innovations to influence policy reform motivates me to play a significant role in this diverse and agile team.

Namrata leads communications and outreach activities for CoRe’s global engagements, simultaneously focusing on the collaboration with the Promise of Commons initiative anchored by Foundation for Ecological Security in India. With over nine years of experience as an architect, communication designer, and entrepreneur, Namrata has collaborated throughout India with nonprofits addressing environmental conservation and education, primarily in underserved areas, applying design thinking tools and strategizing digital media campaigns. Namrata spearheaded the design of a community-led ecosystem restoration campaign in Uttarakhand, India that focused on planting native species. She has been the CEO of Iro Iro, a zero-waste textile brand preserving traditional craftsmanship, co-founder of Yours' & Co, a lifestyle design studio, as well as Head of Decor at F of X and Fuel Human Festival. Her identity design and fundraising campaigns have enabled nonprofits to surpass their fundraising goals, and her focus on sustainability in design has generated social and environmental benefits while reducing overall production costs. Namrata earned a Bachelor's in Architecture from Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, and a Master's in Information Arts and Design Practices from Srishti Manipal Institute in Bangalore. Namrata is also an avid traveler and a photography enthusiast. Namrata was selected in 2022 as a fellow of Atlas Corps, the network of global changemakers.
